First thanks for stopping by my blog awhiles ago - yes, it's taken me this long to thank you - sorry - I've been crazy busy. Anyway, I LOVE your blog. The sock monkeys crack me up, your work is so creative, and the embroidery diary is pure genius. I can't wait until you post more diary "entries". The HOJO one was too funny.
thanks for your comment, scott, and thanks for the great link to eun-han's work. yes, this was a first for me. i don't photo shop and wanted to find a way to create a thought bubble. i just did it the old-fashioned way: cut out a thought bubble from paper, outlined it with marker and laid it on a photo, then took a photo of the photo.

This reminds me of Eun-Ha's work on milkyelephant.com, where she blends photography with illustration (and sometimes animates it).
