stitched bicycle tubes

playing around with some cut up strips of bicycle tubes. this idea of stitching together recycled materials really has me thinking!

by the way, the bicycle tubes are courtesy of bike the big apple tours.

They are brilliant Maggi - the bright colours on the black rubber is so effective.

Those CANNOT be fun to stitch through!

bicycle tubes are very easy to stitch through and quite fun. the tube is the lining inside of the bicycle tire and is very thin and light weight. i recommend trying to stitch or weave them into something. go to your local bicycle shop. they will be happy to give you as many as you want for free.

that looks really interesting just like that. I would never have thought of inner tubes and stitching. very cool.
