there is nothing more comfy to wear everyday than a well-worn baggy oxford shirt. but sometimes they can be so boring. embroidery - a way to solve the mundane! could be good for the whole world. oh, and i also like to replace white buttons with any other color that doesn't match.
thanks tonya. i have been embroidering on my clothes (shirts and pants) for about three years. nothing has come apart so far. i add a little fray check to the knots or end of the threads.
on one shirt i didn't like the way a part of the embroidery looked so i clipped all the threads and instead of pulling out the threads i threw the shirt in the wash, hoping the maching would unravel it all for me. after i took the shirt out of the washer and dryer, all of the threads i had clipped were still in place. nothing had come undone!

Lovely. How well do these hold up in the wash? I'd be afraid all that work would unravel after just a couple of wearings.
